A developer wants to build a condominium complex on the Washington River, with a $1 billion price tag.
But the $1.5 billion price includes almost no water, and it will require a lot of work, according to the developer, the City of Stratford and its neighbors.
The project includes an $800 million lakefront condominium tower that would be built on top of the old Stratford Park condominium and the Riverwalk condominium.
It will also include a riverfront condo complex with water access along the river and a riverwalk that connects the two.
The condominium project is expected to open next year.
The riverfront condopresidence project is set to open in 2021.
The developers’ goal is to build up to 6,500 apartments at the riverfront tower, which would be the largest of its kind in the country.
The project also includes a river-themed resort on the site, which could attract an estimated 1,000 tourists.
The city’s city planning commission approved the project at its Sept. 10 meeting, but it must still go through a city review process.
A final decision is expected by the end of 2019.
The proposed complex would be located on the former site of the former Waterfront Towers complex, a historic residential complex that was once home to hundreds of workers, including a large Navy vessel.
The city’s planning commission in 2015 approved the river-theme resort, which included a pool and swimming pool, on the same site.
The Waterfront Tower complex was demolished in 2011.
It was replaced by a condontown condo complex, and now a riverview condominium development, which will be built next to it.
